Medicare/Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)
Medicare provides a rebate of $53.75 for up to five allied health sessions per calendar year for individuals with ongoing conditions that require treatment from several health professionals. You will need a referral from your GP, who will assess whether your child meets the criteria for a CDMP.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Sum of Us Kids can accept National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients who have self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funds. We can provide various allied health services and assistance for your child’s therapy and equipment needs. If your child is getting ready for the NDIS, we can help you with your planning needs and planning application reports..
Better Start – Medicare 0-13yrs
A GP can refer children with an eligible disability for up to 4 diagnostic assessment services with our allied health practitioners. Children may also qualify for a rebate on 20 therapy sessions from allied health professionals.
Helping Children With Autism (HCWA) – Medicare 0-13yrs
If your child is undergoing assessment for Autism, they can be referred by a paediatrician for a rebate on their diagnostic assessment sessions. If your child has an autism diagnosis, they may also be eligible for a rebate on up to 20 allied health treatment sessions.
Private Health Insurance
Under private health extras cover, you can claim assessments and therapy sessions. The rebate amount depends on the individual level of cover. We have HICAPS, which enables us to process private health fund claims automatically on the day of your appointment.
